TEACHING TOOL GRANT PROGRAM

The North Carolina Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) is pleased to announce our STEM Teaching Tool Grant Program for 2015. AFCEA is a non-profit organization consisting of over 33,000 members worldwide and dedicated to supporting and promoting professional networking and development within the military technology community. In addition, we have a passion for promoting the development of our country’s future science and technology leaders. The purpose of our STEM Teaching Tool Grant Program is to enable teachers to purchase lab supplies, hardware, software, projectors, other equipment, sponsor robotics teams, etc.

The goal is to enable teachers to implement a new project or capability to more effectively encourage the development of students in the science and technology disciplines. Over the past 7 years, our chapter has awarded over $155,000 in Science Teaching Grants to schools in the local Fayetteville / Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina. We are now preparing to award several $1,000 grants in August 2015. Now is the time to apply.
