Mr. Fitzgerald is a 27 year IT professional supporting HP Federal and the Department of Defense, where he focuses on Defense business growth and supporting customer requirements in the field. Prior to joining Hewlett Packard, John held multiple positions at Dell, including Federal Chief Technology Officer, Federal Cloud Strategist, Global Manager for Dell’s Defense and Intelligence worldwide Systems Engineering group, and Director of Strategy and Planning for the Public Sector. He has also served as a CIO in the Pharmaceutical industry for a multinational

Contract Research Organization for 7 years. He has also served as a Vice President of Operations for a Software Development Firm and security solutions development with Wave Systems, where he worked with the Trusted Computing Group. He retired from the United States Army as a Field Artillery Officer and Systems Automation Officer, serving worldwide including positions on the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Army CIOs office.

Mr. Fitzgerald works extensively with the U.S. Department of Defense on Datacenter design and consolidation, hybrid cloud planning and implementation, and associated management mechanisms for the enterprise. He also works broadly in edge technologies, including tactical/rugged implementations, edge sensor data collection and ingest, and Deep Learning/DNN inference server chain implementations.

John resides in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife Jennifer and 3 children, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Davidson College in North Carolina.
